Wh...Your opinion is rather similar to mine on this. What Dreams May Come is one of those movies that I had a lot of trouble formulating an opinion of. On the one hand, I was quite aware that - generally speaking - it was dreadfully over sentimental drawl that deserved to be scoffed at more often than revered, yet I couldn't shake the films overall feel. Something about the pure conceptual and visual layers of it so connected with me that I wanted the movie to be better than it was. To this day - and I've seen it several times since that first viewing - I'm torn as to whether I like what it represents and the creativity it uses in developing that more so than I am annoyed by the blatantly trite plot developments.<br /><br />I'm not sure I'll ever really know.
