The events in Aurora, Colorado cast a pall over any sense of critical analysis, its very real act of senselessness makes the movie irrelevant and writing about it trivial. We need to breathe and concentrate on the victims, and any dialog on the film will be just so much noise, taking away from where our focus should be. Personally, I would think myself irresponsible to be a part of anything other than showing respect to the souls harmed in this random act of stupidity, selfishness, and narcissism.
So, out of respect, we will go dark this weekend.
The LNTAM review of The Dark Knight Rises will be postponed until Tuesday.
